One of the newest cricket grounds in England, the Riverside Ground (currently known as the Emirates Riverside for sponsorship reasons) hosted its first match in 1995 and is home to Durham County Cricket Club.
The ground hosted Cricket World Cup matches in 1999 and 2019, as well as hosting both Test Matches and Twenty20 Internationals.

The Riverside Ground is located in the town of Chester-le-Street in County Durham, approximately 1 mile away from the town centre.
Airport: The closest airport to Chester-le-Street is Newcastle International Airport, approximately 18 miles north of The Riverside Ground. The airport has links to many European destinations, as well as Dubai and the Caribbean. To get to Chester-le-Street via public transport will take just over an hour, changing from a train to a bus at Gateshead Interchange.

Bus: There are several options for catching the bus to The Riverside Ground. The number 36 and 78 from Sunderland stops nearby the ground, whilst the 21 or X21 from Newcastle stops a 10 minute walk away.
Coach: Coaches stop at South Burns Stand, 1.5 miles away from the Riverside Ground, with buses 36 and 78 travelling between the two.

Driving: The club does offer car parking and a park and ride for matchdays.
Train: Chester-le-Street station has services to Birmingham, Darlington, Derby, Doncaster, Durham, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield and York. The station is only a 20 minute walk from The Riverside Ground.
