The Presidents Cup is a men’s team golf competition between the USA and an international team (excluding Europe), first held in 1994. The current champions are the USA, having won the 2019 Presidents Cup 16-14 at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club in Melbourne, Australia.
What is the format of the Presidents Cup?
The format is similar to that of the Ryder Cup, with ties taking place between a team of 12 golfers from the USA and 12 from the international team. On the Thursday there are 5 foursomes, Friday there are 5 fourballs then on Saturday, there are 4 fourballs matches in the morning and 4 foursomes matches in the afternoon. On the Sunday, there are 12 singles matches with all of the players taking part. Each match is played for one point, with the winner of the Presidents Cup being the team which scores most points.
When is the Presidents Cup?
The Presidents Cup takes place every 2 years, with the next edition originally due to be held in 2021 between Thursday 30th September and Sunday 3rd October 2021. However this has been delayed by a year due to the postponement of the Ryder Cup and will now take between the 22nd and 25th September 2022.
Where is the Presidents Cup?
The event takes place at alternating courses between the USA and an international course (except from Europe). The 2022 Presidents Cup will be taking place at the Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina for the first time.

How do I get there?
The Quail Hollow Club is located in the Southeastern Region of Charlotte, North Carolina, approximately 9 miles from the city and near the the Ballantyne Corporate Area and Southpark Mall.
Air: Charlotte Douglas International is one of the busiest airports in the United States, being one of the main hubs for American Airlines and therefore serving a number of domestic and international destinations across Europe and Central America.

Driving Directions from Charlotte Douglas Airport: Start going East on RC Josh Birmingham Parkway. Take the Billy Graham Parkway South ramp toward I-77. Merge onto US-521 S. Turn right onto South Boulevard/US-521. Turn left onto Sharon Road West. Sharon Road West becomes Gleneagles Road once you cross over Park Road. The Club is on the second right after the Park Road Intersection.
Driving Directions from I-85 North: Exit on Billy Graham Parkway South and turn right. Continue on Billy Graham Parkway to Tyvola Road and exit right. Continue on Tyvola and cross over I-77 and South Boulevard/US 521. Continue on Tyvola to Park Road and turn right. At the fourth traffic light, turn left onto Gleneagles Road. The Club is located at the 2nd right on Gleneagles Road .
Driving Directions from I-85 South: Take I-85S to I-77, Exit #38, Statesville/Columbia. Keep left at the fork on the ramp and take I-77 to Columbia. Follow I-77 to Westinghouse Blvd. Exit left onto Westinghouse Blvd and continue on to South Boulevard/US-521. Turn left on South Boulevard/US 521 at the first traffic light, Sharon Road West, you can only turn right. Sharon Road West becomes Gleneagles Road when you pass through the Park Road Intersection. The Club is the second right after the Park Road Intersection.
