2022 will feature several huge sports events, including the highly anticipated 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar which has moved from its usual June date to November due to the adverse weather conditions in the country. The year will also put Beijing back in the spotlight as the city hosts the Winter Olympics and Paralympics, 14 years after it hosted the Summer Olympics and becomes the first city to host both events. Other major events in 2022 includes the postponed UEFA Women’s Euros in England, the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and the 2022 ICC T20 World Cup in Australia.
With so much to look forward to in 2022, view a month by month guide below to some of the world’s biggest sporting events and click on each event, venue or city for further details, including ticketing and travel information.
