Millennium Stadium

The Millennium Stadium (currently known as the Principality Stadium) is the national stadium of Wales, primarily the home of Welsh national rugby team but has also hosted Welsh football team matches.

Initially built for the 1999 Rugby World Cup. in which it hosted the final, the stadium also hosted matches for the 2007 and 2015 World Cup’s as well as seven European Rugby Champions Cup final’s.

Whilst Wembley Stadium was being rebuilt, the Millennium Stadium hosted a number of FA Cup Finals, as well as League Cup, Football League play-off and FA Community Shield finals. The 2017 UEFA Champions Final was played in Cardiff, in which Real Madrid defeated Juventus 4-1.

The Millennium Stadium is located in the heart of Wales’ capital city of Cardiff.

Air – Cardiff Airport is an international airport, less than 30 minutes from the Millennium Stadium. From the airport, catch bus T9 to Customhouse Street. Alternatively, Bristol Airport is just 45 minutes drive from Cardiff.

Coach – Cardiff Central Bus Station is just a five minute walk from the stadium. Megabus offers cheap travel to Cardiff and offers over 10 routes from Birmingham, Bristol, Exeter, Falmouth, Gatwick Airport, Heathrow Airport, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle and Plymouth. Parking – There is no parking available at the stadium, with the public car parks on offer in Cardiff City Centre the best option.

Train – Cardiff Central station is less than a 5 minute walk from the stadium. The station sits within the city centre and has services to Bath, Bristol, Birmingham, Gloucester, London Paddington, Manchester, Nottingham, Portsmouth, Southampton, Swansea and Taunton.
