Perth Stadium (currently known as Optus Stadium) was opened in early 2018 as a multi-purpose venue, primarily focusing on cricket and AFL. With a capacity of 60,000 the stadium is the third largest in Australia and is now the home of local AFL sides the West Coast Eagles and Fremantle Football Club, as well as the BBL cricket side the Perth Scorchers.
The Australia international cricket team has already played several matches at the venue, with the first major event at the stadium being an ODI between Australia and England in January 2018.
The stadium has also hosted soccer (football) with a friendly between Chelsea and Perth Glory, the 2019 A-League Grand Final and two Manchester United pre-season friendlies in 2019. Several Rugby League matches have been played at Perth Stadium including the second match of the 2019 State of Origin, with Rugby Union also played there for the first time in August 2019 with the Bledisloe Cup match between Australia and New Zealand.

Perth Stadium Tour
Perth Stadiums Tours are available daily at 10am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm (subject to availability) on all days, except event days or public holidays. The tour lasts for 90 minutes and costs $25 for Adults, $20 for Concessions, $15 for Children or $65 for a Family (2 Adults & 2 Children).

Location & Travel to Perth Stadium
Perth Stadium is located in the Perth suburb of Burswood, approximately 3km away from central Perth which is immediately across the Swan River.
Airport – Perth Airport is the fourth busiest airport in Australia, with flights to a number of international and domestic destinations, including the first direct flight from Europe to Oceania with a daily flight from London Heathrow.
Perth Airport is simple to reach from the city, with the Tonkin Highway leading to all four of the airport’s terminals. Transperth route 935 runs from Kings Park via Belmont Forum and Perth City to Terminal 4, whilst route 380 runs to Terminal 1.

Boat – The Burswood Jetty permits pick-ups and drop-offs on event days. The Little Ferry Co. stops daily at the jetty, whilst Captain Cook Cruises offer special event cruises.

Parking – There is no parking available at the Perth Stadium on events, parking will only be available on non-event days.
Train – Perth Stadium Station has direct services via the Joondalup, Fremantle and Armadale Lines to Perth, Armadale and Fremantle. Alternatively, for passengers on the Midland Line, East Perth railway station is located just across the Windan Bridge.
Walk & Cycle – Perth Stadium is accessible from East Perth across the Matagarup Bridge which crosses the Swan River. Alternatively, the Burwood Peninsula allows walking or cycling from all directions.
