Plough Lane (Wimbledon, London)

Plough Lane (currently known as The Cherry Red Records Stadium for sponsorship reasons) is the brand new home of AFC Wimbledon. The new stadium is just 200 yards from Wimbledon F.C.’s former stadium at Plough Lane, which they played at from 1912 to 1991.

Wimbledon had began ground-sharing with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, before relocating 70 miles north to Milton Keynes in a controversial move in 2003. AFC Wimbledon was formed as a phoenix club by supporters and played at Kingsmeadow since its inception.

Plough Lane was built with a capacity of 9,300, with significant investment in the new ground from supporters. The first match was a EFL League One match between AFC Wimbledon and Doncaster Rovers on the 3rd November 2020 that ended in a 2-2 draw.

The London Broncos rugby league club began playing their home matches at the stadium in January 2022.

Tenants: AFC Wimbledon (EFL League Two) & London Broncos (RFL Championship)

Opened: 2020

Capacity: 9,300

Address: Plough Lane, Wimbledon
