Bristol County Ground (Bristol)

The Bristol County Ground (currently known as The Brightside Ground for sponsorship reasons) has been home to Gloucestershire County Cricket Club since 1889.

The ground has played host to a number of Twenty20 Internationals and ODI’s, including matches at the 2019 Cricket World Cup.

Location & Travel to Bristol County Ground

The Bristol County Ground is located approximately 3 miles north of the City Centre in the district of Ashley Down. Travel options for getting to the ground include:

Airport: Bristol Airport is located south of the city, with airlines including easyJet, Flybmi, Ryanair, Thomas Cook Airlines and TUI Airways serving many European destinations. The airport is approximately 11 miles away from the County Ground and is around a 30 minute drive away via the A38.

Bus: Bus numbers 70/71/72/73/75/76 all travel from the City Centre to Gloucester Road, less than a 5 minute walk from the County Ground.

Coach: Bristol Coach Station is just under 2 miles away from the ground, with buses 71/73/75/76 heading to the country ground from the station.

Driving: Located close to the M32, with good access to the M4 and M5. Parking options at the County Ground are limited. The City of of Bristol College (BS7 9LU) may be available.

Train: The closest train station is less than a mile away from the Ground (Montpelier railway station), with trains coming from Bristol Temple Meads.
