The Phoenix Open (currently known as the Waste Management Phoenix Open for sponsorship reasons) is a PGA Tour golf tournament, first played in 1932. It is one of the most popular and best attended events on the tour, the 16th hole in particular is known for its atmosphere.
The current champion is Webb Simpson, winning the 2020 tournament after defeating Tony Finau in a play-off. Arnold Palmer, Gene Littler, Mark Calcavecchia and Phil Mickleson have won the most titles, with 3 each.
When is the Phoenix Open?
The tournament is usually held in late January or early February and since 1973, over the same weekend of NFL’s Super Bowl.
Where is the Phoenix Open?
The tournament was previously played at the Phoenix Country Club and Arizona Country Club but since 1987, has been held at the Stadium Course at TPC Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Arizona.

TPC Scottsdale is located approximately 11 miles north of central Scottsdale, or around 25 miles away from downtown Phoenix.
Airport – Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is the largest airport in the state of Arizona, with flights across the country as well as internationally to Canada, Mexico and London in the United Kingdom.
The airport is 3 miles east of downtown Phoenix or around 21 miles away from TPC Scottsdale.

How do I get tickets to the Phoenix Open?
For the 2020 tournament, general admission tickets were priced at $45 for Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and $60 for Friday and Saturday. The latest ticket information will be available on the official website.
