Scotland v Ukraine – 2022 FIFA World Cup Play-Off Semi-Final
June 1, 2022
Scotland and Ukraine will face off in a 2022 FIFA World Cup Play-Off Semi-Final as they look to book their place in Qatar, with the winners due to face Wales 4 days later. This match was due to be played in March but was postponed due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Scotland finished second in their qualifying group behind Denmark whilst Ukraine finished behind France. The sides have only met before just twice, the last being in October 2007 in a UEFA Euro 2008 qualifier with the Scots winning 3-1 at Hampden after goals from Kenny Miller, Lee McCulloch and James McFadden with a consolation from the legendary Andriy Shevchenko.
