After playing the first two test matches at the the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, England will hope to bounce back from their crushing second test defeat to India as they travel 1,500 kilometres north to play the third test match at the huge Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad. The match will be India’s second ever day/night Test match at the largest cricket stadium in the world. England last played a Test match in the ground in November 2012, losing by 9 wickets as they were forced to follow after India recorded a first innings score of 521 for 8 declared after Cheteshwar Pujara scored an unbeaten 206.
