Bulgaria v Wales – UEFA Nations League B Group 4

Having played in the Republic of Ireland three days before, Wales play away to Bulgaria in the UEFA Nations League. Wales last visited Sofia in October 2011 in a UEFA Euro 2012 qualifier, winning 1-0 at the Vivacom Arena Georgi Asparuhov Stadium thanks to a goal on the stroke of half-time by Gareth Wales (see below).

Sofia Airport is the main international airport of Bulgaria, located approximately 10km east of central Sofia. The airport mainly services European destinations, including Birmingham, Bristol, Liverpool, London-Gatwick, London-Heathrow, London-Luton, London-Stansted and Manchester.
Central Sofia can be reached by Line 2 (Blue) of the Metro which is next to Terminal 2, with a free shuttle bus running from Terminal 1 if you land there. The Metro also runs directly to the Vasil Levski National Stadium.
