2021 PGA Championship

The PGA Championship is the second of the four major championships held each year in professional golf. First held in 1916, the event is hosted by the Professional Golfers’ Association of America and is the only one of the majors exclusively for professional players. Jack Nicklaus and Walter Hagen are the most successful players at the PGA Championship, having both won the event five times.

When is the 2021 PGA Championship?

The PGA Championship takes place every year and as of 2019, will be played in May over the weekend before the US holiday of Memorial Day (held on the last Monday in May). Previously the event had been held in mid-August.

The 2021 PGA Championship will be held between the 20th and 23rd May 2021.

Where is the 2021 PGA Championship?

The event is held at a different course in the US each year, primarily on the east coast. The 2021 PGA Championship will be played at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort in Kiawah Island, South Carolina. This will be the second time Kiawah Island has hosted the PGA Championship, after hosting the 2012 event.

How do I get there?

Charleston International Airport is the largest airport in South Carolina and has a number of flights across the United States, as well as a direct flight to London Heathrow. The airport is approximately 35 miles north of the golf resort, with a travel time of about 50 minutes.

Driving & Parking – from the North or West approach the Charleston area on I-95 South and/or I-26 East to I-526 West. Follow I-526 to 17 South, travel about 5 miles and turn left onto Main Road. and follow the signs. From the South follow I-95 North to US-17 North (Charleston – Exit 33). Travel 52 miles on US-17, then turn right onto Main Road. During the 2021 PGA Championship, public parking will be located at Lot GP near Freshfields (830 Kiawah Island Parkway, Johns Island, SC 29455) with a complimentary shuttle service to and from the course.

How do I get tickets to the PGA Championship?

Ticket prices for the 2021 event have yet to be announced, however for the 2020 tournament Practice Round tickets started at $30, whilst Championship Round tickets started at $115.

Tickets will be available to purchase on a first come, first serve basis in August 2020. However you will need to register first on the official website here.
