The Sevens Stadium opened in 2008 as a purpose built rugby venue to host the annual Dubai Sevens, a World Rugby Sevens Series event that had previously been held at the old Dubai Exiles rugby ground. The stadium has a capacity of 44,000, with the Dubai Sevens attracting a crowd of 100,000 over 3 days of competition.
Although primarily used for rugby, the venue also has facilities for netball, basketball, cricket, tennis, athletics and Aussie rules football. Major football friendlies at the stadium include AC Milan v Hamburg in 2009 and Real Madrid v AC Milan in 2014.

Tickets for the 2021 Dubai Sevens cost Dhs120 for a season ticket, Dhs100 for Friday, Dhs50 for Thursday and free Entry on Wednesday. Further ticket information and booking is available through the official website here.
Location & Travel to The Sevens Stadium
The Sevens Stadium is located 35 kilometres to the southeast of downtown Dubai.
Airport – The Dubai International Airport is the primary airport in the UAE, being the hub for the country’s flag carrier – Emirates, as well as the low-cost carrier flydubai. There are over 140 airlines that offer flights to over 270 destinations across all continents of the world from the airport.
The airport is about 40 kilometres north of the Sevens Stadium and can be reached by car in about 30 minutes.

Driving & Parking – The stadium has parking for 15,000 cars and is located at the intersection of the Dubai-Al Ain Road (E66) and the Jebel Ali-Lahbab Road (E77).
Taxi – A taxi ride from downtown Dubai to the stadium will cost around 100 AED and take 30 minutes.
