Newbury Racecourse has been hosting race meets since 1905 at its current location and has both flat and jump courses.
Notable races at Newbury include the Lockinge Stakes (May), Hennessy Gold Cup (November/December) and the Challow Novices’ Hurdle (December/January).

Newbury Racecourse has numerous races all year round. Tickets for all races start from £15 and can be purchased through the official website here. Tickets are available to purchase on the day, but the queue’s can be large so advanced bookings are recommended.
Location & Travel to Newbury Racecourse
Airport – Southampton Airport is approximately a 45 minute drive from Newbury and and serves more than 50 UK and European destinations. The much larger Heathrow Airport is just over an hours drive away and has links to all over the world.
Bus – Bus number 9 travels from Newbury town centre directly to the racecourse, with a journey time of about 10 minutes.
Driving/Parking – The racecourse is easy enough to access, being just a few minutes off the A34. Newbury is also well served by the M3 and M4 motorways, with free parking available on site.
Train – Newbury Racecourse station is right next door and has direct links to London Paddington on major race days. On all other days, there are regular services to and from Reading station, which also has links to London and further afield.
