PGA Frisco

PGA Frisco

PGA Frisco is the new state-of-the-art headquarters of the PGA of America and a premier public golf destination in the heart of Texas. Officially opening in 2022, this massive 600-acre complex, anchored by the luxurious Omni PGA Frisco Resort, is designed to be a centerpiece for championship golf for decades to come, offering two distinct championship courses, a dedicated short course, and world-class instruction facilities.

The Golf Courses

PGA Frisco is home to two contrasting 18-hole championship courses, plus expansive practice and casual play facilities.

  • Fields Ranch East (Championship Course): Designed by Gil Hanse, this course is built to host major championships. It features a dramatic routing along the banks of the Panther Creek, offering rolling topography, high native grasses, and strategic bunkering. It is considered the more challenging and picturesque of the two courses.
  • Fields Ranch West (Championship Course): Designed by Beau Welling, this course is designed to be more playable for everyday golfers while still offering a rigorous test. It features a traditional prairie landscape with wide fairways, gentle elevation changes, and minimal forced carries.
  • The Swing (Short Course): A fun, 10-hole short course perfect for families and practicing wedge play.
  • The Dance Floor (Putting Course): A lighted, two-acre putting course available for casual play day and night.

Major Championship History

PGA Frisco will serve as the primary host for the PGA of America’s major championships for the foreseeable future.

  • PGA Championship: The club is scheduled to host the 2027 PGA Championship and the 2034 PGA Championship.
  • Women’s PGA Championship: The club will host the Women’s PGA Championship multiple times, including the 2025 Women’s PGA Championship.
  • Senior PGA Championship: The club is also set to host this senior major several times.
