Štadión Antona Malatinského (Trnava)

Štadión Antona Malatinského is the home ground of Slovakian team, FC Spartak Trnava. The original stadium was opened in 1921 and was renamed the Anton Malatinský Stadium in 1998 after the famed player and manager from Trnava. However it was completed renovated between 2013 and 2015 to become one of the most modern venues in Slovakia. Three out of the four stands were completely demolished, however one stand remained for Spartak to continue playing at the ground.

The new stadium was built as part of a complex that also included the City Arena shopping centre. The first match after reopening was a friendly held between Spartak Trnava and Brazilian side Atlético Paranaense on the 22nd August 2015, with the away side winning 2-0.

The stadium hosted its first Slovakia international match in 1996, a 0-0 friendly draw with Bulgaria and it has since hosted a number of matches including UEFA Euros qualifiers.
