The Netherlands has several large football stadiums, four of which featured at UEFA Euro 2000. The biggest and most well known is the Johan Cruyff ArenA in Amsterdam, home to AFC Ajax and the first football stadium in Europe to have a retractable roof when it opened in 1996. Other well known stadiums in the country include De Kuip in Rotterdam, which hosted the Final of UEFA Euro 2000 as well as a number of other European club competition Finals, the Philips Stadion in Eindhoven and De Grolsch Veste in Enschede.
