The Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium opened in 2012 as the new home of the Maharashtra cricket team and Maharashtra Cricket Association.
The stadium has since hosted all forms of international cricket, with the first Twenty20 International being between India and England in December 2012. The first ODI was in October 2013 between India and Australia, with the two meeting again in February 2017 for the ground’s first test.

The MCA Stadium is located in the village of Gahunje, approximately 25 kilometres north of the city of Pune in western India.
Airport – Pune Airport has flights across India and to Dubai. It is located approximately 10 kilometres north of Pune. Alternatively, the larger Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai offers a greater number of international locations, being approximately 150 kilometres north of Pune which is about a 3 hour car journey.

Driving – The ground sits close to the Mumbai to Pune Highway so is easily accessible by car from either.
Train – The closest railway station to the stadium is Begdewadi railway station on the Pune Suburban Railway, approximately 5 kilometres away.
