Held on grass courts\, Wimbledon is famed for its traditions such as eating Strawberry’s and drinking Pimm’s. \n\n\n\nRoger Federer of Switzerland has won a record 8 Men’s Singles titles\, with Martina Navratilova of the United States winning a record 9 Women’s Singles titles. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhen are the 2023 Wimbledon Championships?\n\n\n\nWimbledon is the third Grand Slam on the professional tennis calendar and takes place every year over two weeks in late June and early July. The 136th Championships is set to take place between Monday 3rd July and Sunday 16th July 2023. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhere is there 2023 Wimbledon Championships?\n\n\n\nThe Championships has been played at the All England Lawn Tennis Club in the southwest London district of Wimbledon (SW19) since it was first played in 1877. \n\n\n\nAddress: The All England Lawn Tennis Club\, Church Road\, Wimbledon\, London\, SW19 5AE \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow do I get to the 2023 Wimbledon Championships?\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe All England Lawn Tennis Club is located in the southwest London district of Wimbledon (SW19)\, approximately 7 miles (11km) from central London. \n\n\n\nAirport: Two of the world’s largest airports are situated near London and both serve many international destinations. \n\n\n\nLondon Heathrow Airport is 15 miles west of Wimbledon. Perhaps the easiest way to travel from Heathrow to Wimbledon is to catch the train from Terminal 4 to Paddington Station. From there\, the district line will take you to Wimbledon station. \n\n\n\nGatwick Airport is approximately 30 miles south of Wimbledon. From the airport\, catch a train to Clapham Junction and then change to another service to Wimbledon station. \n\n\n\nThinking of flying? You can apply on the official website here. \n\n\n\nThe Queue: ‘The Queue’ is one of the institutions of Wimbledon and of British culture. If you’re willing to queue/camp overnight\, a limited number of Centre Court\, No.1 Court and No.2 Court tickets are available each day\, except for the last four days where all Centre Court tickets are sold in advance. \n\n\n\nIf you’re happy with a Grounds Pass\, it is advised to arrive a few hours before the Grounds open at 10:30am\, where you will be given a Queue Card. \n\n\n\nTicketmaster: Tickets are available for purchase online on Ticketmaster for Centre Court and No.3 Court tickets.
