DESCRIPTION:The Open Championship\, or the British Open\, is the oldest of the four major championships held each year in professional golf. First held in 1860 at Prestwick Golf Club in Scotland\, the event is hosted by The R&A\, the ruling authority of golf throughout the World (except North America). Harry Vardon of Jersey has won The Open a record six times\, with James Braid\, John Henry Taylor\, Peter Thomson and Tom Watson all having won five times. \nThe 2019 Open at Royal Portrush Golf Club was won by Shane Lowry\, winning his first major by six strokes over Tommy Fleetwood. \n\n\n \n\n\n\n \nWhen is the Open Championship?\n\n\n \nThe Open takes place every year and as of 2019\, is the final major of the season. The Open is traditionally played in mid-July. \n\n\n \nThe 149th Open Championship was originally due to be held between the 16th and 19th July 2020\, however was cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Instead the 149th Open Championship will now be played between the 15th and 18th July 2021. \n\n\n \n\n\n\n \nWhere is the Open Championship?\n\n\n \nThe Open is held in the United Kingdom\, being the only major played outside of the United States. DESCRIPTION:The Presidents Cup is a men’s team golf competition between the USA and an international team (excluding Europe)\, first held in 1994. The current champions are the USA\, having won the 2017 Presidents Cup 19-11 at Liberty National Golf Club in New Jersey\, USA. \n\nHow does it work?\nThe format is similar to that of the Ryder Cup\, with ties taking place between a team of 12 golfers from the USA and 12 from the international team. On the Thursday there are 5 foursomes\, Friday there are 5 fourballs then on Saturday\, there are 4 fourballs matches in the morning and 4 foursomes matches in the afternoon. On the Sunday\, there are 12 singles matches with all of the players taking part.
