DESCRIPTION:The 2021 Boston Marathon is an annual road running event held on the streets of greater Boston in eastern Massachusetts\, traditionally held on Patriots’ Day – the third Monday in April. You can view the latest registration information through the official website here. \nThe registration window for the 2021 window is Tuesday\, April 20 at 10:00AM ET until Friday\, April 23 at 5:00PM ET. \n\n\n \n\n\n\n \n2021 Boston Marathon Course Details\n\n\n \nThe Boston Marathon starts in the rural town of Hopkinton and finishes on Boylston Street in Boston. The course follows route 135\, route 16 and route 30 passing through Ashland\, Framingham\, Natick\, Wellesley\, Newton\, Brookline before entering Boston. The marathon is considered one of the most challenging\, with the four Newtown hills culminating in Heartbreak Hill between mile 20 and 21 causing the most difficulty. \n\n\n \nOther notable features of the course include “Scream Tunnel” at Wellesley College\, a 400 metre stretch where students from the women’s college cheering on participants.
